The HZ Series combines energy-saving LED technology and a
durable enclosure suitable for hazardous locations. The HZ Series is
UL listed for use in Class I, Division 2, Groups A, B, C & D; Class I, Zone 2, Groups IIA, IIB (+ H2) & IIC;
and Class II, Division 2, Groups F & G.
The HZ Series offers several levels of protection against the
elements, including dust, dirt, and water.
The HZ Series is constructed of an impact-resistant,
fiberglass-reinforced polyester gray housing with stainless steel
hardware and clear polycarbonate cover.
Equipped with Intelli-Charge
for self-diagnostics, the HZ Series is provided standard with an on-board
IR receiver and is pre-programmed for use with our optional hand held test
device allowing for remote testing in accordance with all applicable building
code requirements. One-minute and 90-minute testing may also be initiated via
the push to test switch on the unit.
The exit only HZ Series is offered with
a maintenance-free nickel cadmium battery for 90
minutes of emergency operation. The combination HZ Series is offered with a maintenance-free lead calcium battery for 90 minutes of emergency operation. Illumination of the combination HZ Series is accomplished with
Class I, Division 2 rated "Z" series lamp heads mounted on the unit.
"Z" series lamp heads are available in a variety of wattages. The HZ Series meets the Buy American requirements.
